Drainage system installed

During the years we have helped several customers with installation of new drainage systems in their homes. This is the most recent job where we installed a modern drainage system in a new renovated shower area. 

This can sometime be a tricky job since all the tiles need to be adapted in order to assure a correct runoff. As the picture shows in this case a little space were left on the sides of the system, but we have experience from installing all kind of formats and sizes of the same kind of systems. We can provide our customer with customized design for these systems.

Bathroom renovation

This project has been our focus during the last weeks - a large bathroom renovation here in Jávea. Our client wanted a "rustic luxurious" style, which we found very inspiring to create. Handmade ceramic flor tiles really made the icing on the cake!

Integral renovation

Some weeks ago I delivered a rather large renovation projekt for a private customer here in Jávea. During the projekt I have had a close collaboration with both client and architect, which is something I really appreciate when working. A good dialogue from the beginning and throughout the projekt is important in order to avoid misunderstandings and achieve a final result as close as possible to the customers expectation.

Waterproofing roof terrace 

This has become one of my "especialidades" - waterproofing of house terraces. I use quality product from the Spanish industrial company Tecnol. The difference between a regular product and this adapted painting product called TQ Impertec, which is specifically practical when it comes to the climate we have here around. It is a hard sun and UV-resistent product that work perfectly for these kind of waterproofing jobs in the Costa Blanca area. 

Depending of the use of the terrace area one can choose to paint it afterwards or tile it. In this case the customer wanted to leave it only with the resin product since it is not a transit terrace. 

I always remind my customers to keep a regular eye on their terrace roofs due to the high risk of leakage or mildew damage on older houses. It is important to check the water level after each heavy rain and also during summertime when sun easy tears up old floor painting and protectors.

"Reforma integral" - bathroom renovation

I would like to share with you one of my renovation projects from this year, which both me and the client felt very satisfied with. It was the perfect match of funcion, practical use and design. 

The client wanted a more decorative touch of the bathroom and since it needed new tiles in general we made a total remake. 

I really like the soft colours and by decorative purpose I mixed the tiles in a more artistic way, which I think turned out really cool. When tiling bathrooms the preparation job is crucial for how perfect the result will be. In this case and always when I do tiling work I use cutter tools from italian brand Montolit.

Total renovation Montgó área

During the last weeks I have been realising a rather large-scaled renovation for a local customer in Jávea. It all started out with some general repair of the house's stone walls and over time I have done everything from re-tiling and painting to BBQ installation and waterproofing roof areas. 

Here are just a few pictures from the project.

Pillar demolition

Heavy work does not only demands muscles, it actually needs technical knowledge in order to assure a safe and correct realization. Last week I helped a local customer in Jávea to take down two huge pillars that were standing inside her vila. They were placed as a decoration part separating the kitchen from the living room. 

The difference was markable at once the pillars were out. The kitchen was lightened up and the whole area now feels much more spacious and relaxed. 

As it often happens in the construction world, the job took more time than planned since the ground proved out to be different than expected. I needed to put new tiles to the floor where the decoration pillars had been and this time we were lucky to find the exact tiles as the rest of the house!

Bathroom renovation 

The bathroom was leaking water into a near located bedroom and the bathroom was in an general advanced deterioration. I disassembled the faucet, detected the water leak and repaired the leakage. After that I put new porcelain tiles and I added new joints to the tiled area. A true improvement not only solving the leakage, but also creating a modern look of this rather old bathroom.

Fence repair

Even though Jávea and this part of the Costa Blanca coast has one of the worlds best micro climates, we do have some hard winds from time to time. One of my clients asked me the other day to repair a fence, which had broken from the hard winds some days ago. I repaired the cement wall and the broken net, bent it up and added a fence post and in order to make it more stable for coming storms..

Barbecue area outdoor - exclusive design by Pedro Handyman

My architect Manuel Carballo has designed this exclusive barbecue design for Pedro Handyman in Jávea. I offer you the possibility to adapt it to your proper needs and wishes, but with the same original design. 

The top layer is made of "dekton", which endures strong sunlight and generates really cool colours.  The wooden doors are in HPL (High Pressure Laminate), which is resistant to intemperance much more than natural wood - and also available in many different colour tones. 

This design is based on Barbecue gas equipment from the Australian brand "BeefEater". We can easy adapt the design to firewood or coal grills and other brands. The outdoor fridge and the sink are designed in standard sizes.

Outdoor storage - 2019 Dic, Jávea

A project where I helped a client with the montage and construction of a garden storage. I needed to level the ground in order to create a stable and fixed ground for the house to stand on and I constructed the concrete ground for the base of the storage. 

This job is not really complicated for me to realise, but it includes various technical details that also make the difference between this kind of storage and a regular standard version. My client will have good use for this storage house many years!

House roof reparation - 2019 Dic, Benitachell

Reparation and waterprofing a roof part for a client who had problems with water levels and leaking. The underlaying area and wall was damaged by humidity. In this case I used Tecnol industrial waterproofing products in order to solve the filtration issue. 

The result of this job was an impenetrable roof and a perfect finish.

New terrace construction - 2019 Oct/Nov, Montgó area 

This project was realized during the month of Octobre 2019 and was based on my clients need to solve a leakage problem. The terrace was leaking rain water in to the underlaying department, which I solved with a special waterproofing technique using Tecnol quality products.  

I suggested a new design of the terrace since we anywhow would need to lay new tiles in almost the whole area. Here in Jávea I have good local suppliers and we got all new tiles, material and tools from partners around the area.

The final result was a completely new and waterproofed terrace with nice tiles that create an open space and with an elegant perimeter fence  instead of the old cement columns. The new terrace really favors the stunning vies from this property! 

Outdoor tiling - 2019 sep, Stockholm/Sweden

I occasionally collaborate with scandinavian construction companies and I was assigned this project by Swedish GSCC AB. The job was based on outdoor tiling for several town houses constructed by the same company. 

I have good experience within this kind of tiling, but this job is more complicated than it might look. Remember that in Sweden the cold months of the year are several degrees below 0 and the ground moves. Because of that it is extremely important to make the preparation work and ground work 100% correct from start. I enjoy this kind of technical parts of tiling; the measuring and leveling!

Efficient cleaning of bathroom tiles - 2019, Jávea

Tired of a dirty bath with bacteria and mold? I have helped several clients to eliminate unhealthy bacteria and clean the dirty grout joints. The difference after is rather amazing, the bathroom get this really new look again.  

It is easy to think that cleaning- and bleach products will do the whole work, but in order to eliminate the dirt, mold and bacteria in its deepest harder work is needed. I use a special product from one of my suppliers for this kind of job. When the joints are deteriorated as you see in the firs picture, I create new joints of the whole damaged area, which gives a finish that reminds of the original condition of the tube and tiles.
